Hello Art of War fans! Today we have not one, but two games for your viewing pleasure! First up is a YouTube battle at 1pm EST, featuring Nick Nanavati and the Aeldar against Mark Perry’s World eaters and Word Bearers! After that, at 5pm EST in the War Room, Richard Siegler takes the forces of Stygies VIII against John Lennon’s ministorum crusade of both Sisters of Battle and Astra Militarum. Lists for both games can be found below!
First up, it’s the children of Asurmen against the servants of Chaos! Both of these factions are on the rise, taking advantage of new points discounts to revamp their lists. The Craftworld army features plenty of troops, and will use both long and short ranged firepower, as well as their speed, to isolate and destroy the clumsy forces of the Archenemy. The World Eaters, meanwhile, have brought pyschic allies to help them close the distance and claim more skulls for Khorne! With Dire Avengers seeing a significant discount, they form a solid Objective Secured core that will surely help play to the newly changed missions, while cheaper Raptors and Terminators may just overwhelm their Xenos foe.
Round 2 is an all-imperium title match between two MSU style armies with different philosophies. The forces of the Mechanicus will be relying on no less than 40 electro priests to hurt the foe, and have three Terrax drills to force the issue. For once the AdMech may be outgunned, but the protection of -1 to hit will help thwart the guns of the Astra Milittarum. Each army has plenty of small skirmishing units to roam the battlefield and kill the enemy, from harassing cavalry to outflanking plasma squads, but the priests of the Omnissiah will have to contend with the righteous faith of 9 Mortifiers and 17 Repentia! John is looking to take advantage of the new secondary rules and overload the enemy with all of his damage output. This one will be a doozy!
