Introduction

I’m Alexander Englezos, one of the Art of War coaches from down under (Australia). I have been playing competitive 40k since 9th edition and have been there throughout all of the swings in the meta; from Drukhari, to Tyranids to even now with Aeldari and GSC. I specialize in deployment strategies, list building and terrain based tech while also having an affinity towards skew, off-meta army picks. I play the Adeptus Mechanicus, Tyranids and Space Marines as my main 3 factions, though I have experience on many more.

Achievements

– Dice Arcade GT winner 2023 (500/500 battlepoints with Admech) – NSW Masters Australia winner 2022 – Top 10 Placing at Adelaide Uprising 2022 – Gladiator Games Teams event winner 1st place 2023 – Beach Front Brawl Teams event winner 1st place 2023 – 6th Place Down Under 40k GT – Coach for NSW 2022 and 2023 – Coach for Team Australia WTC 2023 – BIF for Adeptus Mechanicus 2023 globally – Using a Onager Dunecrawler for melee as a joke and getting a perfect score at a GT – I also lead the #1 ranked team in Australia 2023

Coaching Experience

I am proud to say that while I initially started off focusing on honing my own skills, this year I have had trumendous success in helping others improve their game of competitive 40k. To me being a success in competitive 40k is about being the best you can be both in and out of the game, combining player skill, faction mastery, terrain mastery, meta mastery and most importantly sportsmanship. My team and I have been able to do this, and In coaching with Art of War I am able to take this to global lengths.

I specialize in deployment strategies, list building and map based tech while also having a favoured affinity towards skew, off-meta army picks.

Teaching Philosophy

With me as your coach I will focus on helping you perform better at the events you want to attend. At the meta you face. At the terrain layouts you accommodate to. We will practice, challenge, and create things that you can eventually take on board and help your 40k friends with, and become the best version of yourself in this game (and beat Aeldari or Genestealer Cults while doing it).
